I made them both at the same time as a set - after finishing something on one of them, I did the same thing on the other. if you have a sharp eye and you know a thing or two about the Eggerland series, then you probably noticed the Emerald Framers in Lololo's eyes and the Heart Framers in Lalala's (albeit quite simplified). Their eyes are also subtly looking to the side so they look at each other when you place them together, which didn't turn out as obvious on Lalala, because I like winging it when it comes to embroidery. But I love the way Lalala's bow turned out!
This is the first non-puffball plush I've ever made! I started making her after Lololo and Lalala to "gift" something to my Kirby plush for Kirby's Anniversary. I didn't make her in time, but I grew out of rushing things so I wasn't too upset, unlike last year when I almost didn't finish Marx in time. My mom is a HUGE fan of her. She keeps gushing over how cute she is and even asked me to bring her to her room once so she could gush over her some more! Before I gave her hair and a bow, I posted a photo of her being bald on my SpaceHey blog, which was my first blog post on there. Speaking of the hair, this is the first plush I made with yarn hair! Yes, this is yarn. If you brush yarn with a dog brush and straighten it, you get fluffy hair that's perfect for dolls.
I finally remade Rainberry! Finished her bare body on June 15th, then made the removable sleeves the following weekend. I'm super proud of the wings! Definitely my best plush yet.
I wanted to make a plushie of Gryll for a while, but a lot of things got in my way - lack of materials, bad mood, distractions... I managed to ovecome that recently though, and ended up with something I'm relatively happy with! Gryll continues the trend of removable accessories with her hat and shoes being able to come off. She also has stretchy loops on her hands to help her hold or ride the broom.
I decided to give Gryll a mohawk under her hat because It fits my headcanons and I just thought that would be funny in general.
Gryll happens to be the first plush I made with dyed details as well! Dyed the hair and painted on the eyeshadow with watercolor, then added subtle shading with chalk pastels as a last minute decision. Chalk pastels are much easier to apply, but I prefer watercolor because it lasts longer.
I finally made Gryll's little onion familiars! Wanted to finish them at the same time as Gryll, but I didn't feel like it so I put off making them for a couple of weeks. I tried to challenge myself to see how tiny I can sew (and embroider). Despite their small size, they don't look too bad!
Holy Waluigi, I almost forgot to add him! And I don't blame myself, because It's a simple, tiny plushie that I made very quickly. After I finished the embroidery on my next plushie, I took a break from making it to finish this guy. Recently I've been using him as a palm cushion of sorts when I play osu!.
To celebrate Hatsune Miku's 16th Anniversary, I decided to make a plushie of her, but with a twist: I turned her into a puffball! I played around with the idea of Vocaloids as puffballs since 2021 and wanted to make plushies of at least some of them ever since. While I am capable of making non-puffball plushies, puffballs happen to be my specialty. And they just always look so adorable!
Once again, Miku continues the tradition of removable acessories. She also has a leek that she can hold in one of her hands.
