Gryll - Bear Grylls, but IN SPACE

Gryll is one of the many cool Kirby characters that HAL has reduced to a mere easter egg... Her first and only appearance was in Kirby no KiraKira Kizzu, a Japanese-exclusive Super Famicom port of Kirby's Star Stacker with enhanced graphics and the addition of Story Mode. Gryll appears in a secret Story Mode level that unlocks once you beat every other level without losing. She cas cute onion familiars called Sugar, Salt and Pepper. Gryll is also the only female (or at least feminine) puffball besides Galacta Knight in Japan and the only puffball with hair.

To be honest, I almost completely skipped Kirby no KiraKira Kizzu on my quest to beat every Kirby game in chronological order. But getting stuck on Tilt 'n Tumble because of that pesky proprietary gyroscope that makes an emulated playthrough impossible made me come back to previous games. Kirby's Star Stacker and it's Super Famicom remake are very fun puzzle games with cute graphics and great music! The core mechanics of the game are very simple, but the later levels can get pretty challenging. I'd love to play either KiraKira Kizzu or the original Game Boy game (or both!) on original hardware someday.
